Pianodrom starts tomorrow at the Opera House, the most important festival of contemporary composition

The 10th edition of Pianodrom starts tomorrow, the festival that has become an important pillar of contemporary Albanian culture and composition.

In 10 years of activity, the Pianodrome counts about 127 productions and many masterclasses, being transformed from a modest association into an institution of Albanian symphonic music. Art lovers have followed the journey of Pianodrom with dedication and their interest has brought more incentive to continue and bring new concerts and works.

Pianodrom’s works have been performed with great success in: Carnegie Hall New York, Miami, Texas, Rome, Trieste, Paris, Moscow (Tchaikovsky Conservatory), Montreal, Germany, Pristina, etc.

In the 10th edition, we will be able to follow 14 Albanian authors and 14 from the world, who will perform 30 Albanian works and 21 from the world, with the participation of dignified and internationally renowned artists such as Elvin Hoxha Ganiyev, who performs in Berlin, Rejsi Prosi who performs in Graz, AMAI quartet from Vienna, Kosti Deti from Vienna, Klejda Tare, and other stars of interpretation from the University of Arts.

It is interesting that the composer Aleksandër Peçi composed a sonata, especially for the virtuoso Ganiyev, to whom he dedicated it on the occasion of his 25th birthday, which coincides with the time of the Pianodrom festival.

On Sunday, November 27, Pianodrom comes to the Opera House with 3 miniatures by Cesk Zadeja, sonatas by Chopin and Schubert, Mendelssohn’s variations and works by the composer Peçi, Sonata 3 “Skenderbeg” second time Liriad and third time Wedding and Bartok Romanian dance.

The composer is the most executed author outside Albania in these 30 years, with numerous awards. As the founder of “Pianodrom” with 106 productions for 9 years and one of the founders of the “New Music” association, he is a promoter of modern developments in Albanian composition.
