Pm of Montenegro, Abazovic: ”I expect more participants in the next summit of ”Open Balkans”

The Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazovic, appeals that in the next meeting of the “Open Balkans”, not five, but six Balkan countries should participate, mentioning the absence of Kosovo in this regional initiative. He expressed this position at the joint press conference of the leaders of the Western Balkans, in Ohrid, underlining in his speech that “the” Open Balkans “is the new face of the Western Balkans.”

“I have participated in many meetings related to the Western Balkans. This is a new face of the Western Balkans. All the topics addressed have to do with life and standards, whether for agriculture, the current crisis, or what awaits us in Europe. This is an approach that represents a turning point. I appeal that next time we are not five, but six. “Open Balkan” should have more participants. So, do the things that citizens ask of us. I would like this structure to be strengthened with the sixth state as well. We are focused on cooperation. It was an honor for me and a pleasure to be here. “I wish you great success and I want to say that North Macedonia has justified its role,” he said.
