PM Rama Urges Kosova Assembly to Approve Resolution for Former KLA Leaders

adopt a resolution. He said it should support the former KLA leaders held in The Hague.

Through a social media post, Rama expressed surprise. He said the Assembly of Kosova had delayed such action for too long.

He questioned why the Assembly had not yet raised its voice. He urged a resolution beyond party divisions. According to him, the resolution should list what he called repeated violations of basic democratic standards. He accused The Hague Tribunal of breaching the legal process. He claimed the rights of Hashim Thaçi and his longtime companions had been trampled.

PM Rama repeated that such a resolution would highlight those breaches. He said the court had violated elementary legal norms.

He also declared Albania’s readiness to act. He said the Assembly of Albania would join immediately, if Kosova took the first step.

In his words, if Kosova’s Assembly approved that overdue resolution, then Albania would do the same. He stated that Albania would adopt the same text. He added that this would carry the voice of all Albanians to every democratic state that funds the Tribunal. He insisted those states should not allow violations of due legal process, especially when financed by their own taxpayers.

According to him, the goal remains clear. The Albanian voice must reach every state that supports The Hague Tribunal.
