Polish artist Maria-Rosa Szychowska is creating a mural on the façade of the building at the Kapshtica customs and border checkpoint.

The prefect of the Korça district, Nertil Jole, visited the Kapshtica border point, where he met with the Polish artist Szychowska.

“The artist has been surprised by the beauty of Albanian nature and the hospitality in our district, which has further inspired her work,” Jole said in a social media post.

Jole emphasized that “the Kapshtica and Qafë Thanë border crossing points, as the two main points of citizen movement in the southeast of the country, have taken all measures for a welcoming environment at the start of the summer tourist season.”

“This summer season is also expected to record a high number of citizens and tourists passing through these border points,” said Jole.

After the mural in Kapshtica, the Polish artist will continue with the one at Qafë Thanë. These murals will provide a unique image for tourists and citizens moving on both sides of the border.
