After the Kosovo government’s decision to postpone by 1 month the reciprocity for Serbian license plates and IDs, the head of the EU’s foreign policy, Joseph Borrell, has reacted, who expects the removal of all Serbs’ roadblocks in the north. Through a post on the Twitter social network, Borrell writes that the normalization of Kosovo-Serbia relations is essential for the paths of integration towards the European Union.

“We welcome Kosovo’s decision to move measures until September 1. Expect all road blocks to be removed immediately.

Open issues should be addressed through EU-facilitated dialogue and a focus on the comprehensive normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, essential for their EU integration paths,” Borrell writes.
