The President of the Republic of Albania, Bajram Begaj appreciated the contribution that the Albanians in the Republic of North Macedonia, and in particular their political leaders, have made to the improvement of inter-ethnic relations.

In the meeting with Ali Ahmet, Artan Grubi and Bujar Osman, during the proceedings of the Prespa Forum for Dialogue, President Begaj said that their contribution is a good example for all the countries of the region.

While publishing photos from this meeting, President Begaj wrote that the contribution that the Albanians in the Republic of North Macedonia, and in particular their political leaders, have given to the improvement of inter-ethnic relations is a good example for all countries of the region.

President Begaj had also a meeting the Prime Minister of Kosova, Albin Kurti, and discussed the relations between the two countries.

Prime Minister Kurti expressed his regret for the cancellation of the joint meeting of the two governments, which was scheduled for last Wednesday in Gjakova.

“He thanked President Begaj for his continuous cooperation and support towards Kosova, and for his stance regarding the kidnapping of three Kosova police officers by Serbian forces, condemning this act of aggression and demanding their immediate release,” office of Kosova Prime Minister announced.

Prime Minister Kurti informed Begaj with the proposal of the government of the Republic of Kosova for full de-escalation and normalization of the situation in the municipalities in the north, while adding that the rule of law should be the basic premise of any solution.
