The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, is currently in Sofia for an official visit at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev.

President Begaj welcomed by his Bulgarian counterpart, after which a face-to-face meeting between the two state leaders ensued.

Following that, a meeting involving their respective delegations took place, and it is anticipated that President Begaj will hold a joint press conference with President Radev.

The discussion between the Presidents of Albania and Bulgaria will center on bilateral relations, the roles of both countries within NATO and other international and regional organizations, as well as their cooperation within the European Union. Additionally, the conversation will extend to their roles in the region and beyond.

Moreover, President Begaj is scheduled to meet with Rosen Zhelyazkov, the President of the National Assembly of Bulgaria.

Additionally, as part of the NATO program ‘Enhanced Forward Presence,’ President Begaj will visit the Albanian military troops stationed in Novo Selo.
