Albanian President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj welcomes the submission of Kosovo’s application to join the European Union, and considers it an important historical act.

“Congratulations to the authorities of Kosova, much success in fulfilling the obligations of the membership process. All member countries should support the application of Kosova, as this would not only be in the best geopolitical interest of the European Union, but also a further contribution in support of a country and a people with a clear European and Euro-Atlantic vocation. Congratulations to Kosova and successes may attend!”, writes Begaj.

Kosova Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, who submitted the application for the EU membership, called this an extraordinary day for democracy in Europe.
