After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, President of Kosovo,  Vjosa Osmani says they are insisting that the membership of new states in NATO be seen through the prism of security and not by political criteria.

Regarding Kosovo’s membership in NATO, Osmani has already written to the American president Joe Biden , for which he stressed that Kosovo is the most pro-NATO country.

The head of state also spoke about the preparations for applying to the Council of Europe and whether or not to hold Serbian elections in Kosovo.
Regarding the application to the Council of Europe, Osmani said that it is a priority over the priorities and what they are working with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora on this. Osmani made these comments at the conference for Women’s Week on Wednesday.
