President Osmani Honored with NATO Parliamentary Assembly Award for Women, Peace and Security

President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Award for Women, Peace and Security. She dedicated this exceptional recognition to the women of Kosovo.
Osmani praised their courage, dignity, and commitment in achieving freedom and building peace.“This award belongs to all women who never gave up,” she said.
She honored those who led protests, fought in the war, and built institutions.Osmani remembered the mothers still waiting for their loved ones who went missing during the war.
She paid tribute to survivors who continue to fight for justice. She celebrated young women who now lead in every field with confidence and vision.
“Our peace stands on their sacrifice and courage,” Osmani stated. “Our democracy grows stronger thanks to the tireless efforts of women who stood firm on our path to freedom and equality.”
President Osmani is attending the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Ljubljana as a special guest of President Marcos Perestrello. During her visit, she will meet the President of Slovenia, Nataša Pirc Musar.
She will also attend the official reception hosted by the Speaker of the Slovenian National Assembly, Urška Klakočar Zupančič. Osmani will hold other meetings during the NATO Parliamentary Assembly session.
