The National Center for Books and Reading (QKLL) today commemorated the birthday of Primo Shllaku, a renowned poet, translator, writer, and scholar, born on December 16, 1947.

Shllaku has made significant contributions to Albanian culture through his work and passion. In a statement, he expressed that, while he is 77 years old by calendar, he considers himself 30 years old as a creator, having published for the first time in 1994.

Shllaku reflected on his past, stating that although he once wished to change many things, he now sees his greatest wealth in the experiences gained during difficult times.

Born in Shkodra, Shllaku studied at the University of Tirana and worked as a teacher. His major works include poetry collections “Lule nate” and “Hana e njelmët e ditës”, “Muzikantët”, “Pesha e padurueshme e pafajësisë”, and the drama collection “Aktorë pa kujtesë”.
