Rama: Agreements must be implemented

Prime Minister Edi Rama, while presenting the agreements that are expected to be approved today at the joint meeting between the two governments of Albania and Kosovo, stressed that these agreements must be implemented.
During his speech, he stressed that these agreements should not remain as in the Greek calendars, but should be implemented, while instructing his cabinet ministers to continue the work.
“For the Durrës-Prishtina railway, we will sign an agreement point, to start the works for the plan. It is a long-standing dream. We are convinced that depending on this study, we will be able to jointly present this project to access funds from the European investment plan. On the other hand we are very clear that on both sides we need to improve the conditions for opening markets and increasing trade interaction. An important part of this problem is related to bureaucratic obstacles. I’m glad to finally sign the agreement today to implement customs and freight facilities. We have made significant efforts to facilitate foreign policy, to strengthen this area. We are now in a situation where we really have an opportunity to open more spaces for the consular services of the two countries to be developed in joint buildings. This creates a unique address. Close coordination between us is fundamental,” Rama said.
