Rama: EU document, the best thing for Kosovo and Serbia

In the joint press conference with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Policy, Joseph Borrell and the Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement, Olivér Várhelyi, the head of the government, Edi Rama, has expressed gratitude for the high officials who are supporting the EU integration of Albania, which he says is at the head of the train in this region. He also mentions the effort to normalize Kosovo-Serbia relations, saying that he admires this process. Rama says that the document is the best thing that could happen to him.
“I would like to express my gratitude for all the support we have received from you and Commissioner Varhelyi with a process that has been very difficult and for a short period of time very unfair to Albania due to the political conjecture.
You have once again shown us respect, commitment and unwavering will to support us on this path which is now clear, fair and of course not without its own difficulties. I am very glad that the atmosphere of this meeting was extremely positive.
We are in full agreement on the entire axis of this strategic relationship. Today, Albania is no longer at the end of the integration train, but at the top in this region where our role is valued as a model in terms of promoting peace, dialogue, and normalization. Let me tell you that we admire your effort to normalize Kosovo-Serbia relations. In our view, the document is the best thing that could happen to it and I want to believe that parties will fully endorse the document and its implementation program, since the EU has actually offered a new path to Kosovo, Serbia , the region and other generations “, said Rama.
