Prime Minister Edi Rama congratulated today the 16th anniversary of Kosovo’s independence.

“Happy Independence Day Kosovo!” writes the prime minister on social networks, while sharing a photo from the parade of the Kosovo Republic Guard with the national flag.

Kosovo celebrates today the 16th anniversary of Independence, declared on the historic date of February 17, 2008.

This historic date came after Kosovo gained freedom on June 12, 1999, when NATO peacekeeping forces began to enter and the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo was established.
