Rama in Belgrade, regional conference on renewable energy in the Western Balkans

Prime Minister Edi Rama is in Belgrade, where he is participating in the proceedings of the regional conference “On opportunities in the development of renewable energy in the Western Balkans”.
RTSH journalist Denada Shkodrani informs that this conference takes place on the initiative of the Western Balkans Prime Minister Edi Rama with his counterparts from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia and the host, President Vucic together with the Norwegian government to open a new path of inter-regional cooperation in the field of energy security, between the countries of the Western Balkans and the Nordic countries.
Rama is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku and Minister of Agriculture Frida Krifca.
Leaders of the countries of the Western Balkans, as well as leaders and representatives of prestigious Norwegian companies in the field of energy, will participate in the Conference, in a discussion on the perspective of investments in hydro, solar and wind energy in the countries of the Western Balkans, with the aim of increasing joint efforts for the green transition in the field of energy.
Prime Minister Rama will discuss in the panel “Regional energy perspectives and Norwegian investments in renewable energy in the Balkans”, with special emphasis on regional cooperation, which plays an important role in the stability and resilience of the economies of the Western Balkan countries, in the actuality of the energy crisis.
In conclusion, the leaders of the Western Balkan countries will give a joint press conference, around 12:15.
