Rama in Slovenia for the Bled Strategic Forum

The two-day (August 28-29) international conference of the Bled Strategic Forum that will be held in Slovenia under the title “Solidarity for global security” starts today.
This year’s Bled Strategy Forum hosts more than 30 panel sessions and over 200 speakers. In today’s panel, the leaders of the Balkans will have the opportunity to speak for around one hour and 15 minutes.
Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with leaders of different countries, today.
While on the second day of this forum, it will be the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Megi Fino, who will speak.
The president of the European Council, Charles Michel, and the special envoy of the European Union for the Kosova-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, will also be present at the two-day Forum. The latter stated that the day before (August 27), in the meeting held with the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Gabriel Escobar, that the challenges in the Western Balkans have not disappeared and that the situation in the north of Kosova is at the top of the his agenda.
Yesterday evening (August 27) a welcome dinner was served for the leaders who are part of this forum, where Prime Minister Edi Rama was also present.
The welcoming dinner of the Prime Minister of Slovenia, Robert Golob, which preceded the Bled Strategic Forum, was also attended by the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazovic (Abazović), the Prime Minister of Macedonia, Dimitar Kovacevski, the Prime Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Borjana Kristo, Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabic and Prime Minister of Kosova, Albin Kurti.
The Bled Strategic Forum takes place every year at the end of summer, as a comprehensive platform with a diverse participation of personalities from the fields of politics, diplomacy, economy, private and public sector and academics, who gather together to discuss the main challenges in the 21st century.
The purpose of the Forum is to encourage participating stakeholders to discuss and exchange ideas and find innovative solutions to regional and global challenges.
