Rama: Ready to meet Albin, relations with Serbia return to point zero

Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama has expressed his readiness to meet with his Kosovan counterpart, Albin Kurti. He stated that the freezing of certain programs between the US and Kosova and the interruption of Prishtina’s ties with the Euro-Atlantic community is a disaster.
“When the day comes to discuss the loyalty of strategic partners towards Kosova, it is bad, very bad. Do you think it gives me satisfaction that since I disagree with Albin, the planned visits to the offices of his counterparts in the US get refused to him? I find it terrible. Certain US-Kosova cooperation programs have been frozen.
In this case, it is a disaster to break the so important ties with the Euro-Atlantic community in this shape.
So. I am ready to meet Albin at any moment. At the conceptual level, we have big problems,” said Rama.
Rama clarified once again that relations between Albania and Serbia will return to point zero if Belgrade does not release the three Kosova police officersmen arrested by Serbian forces.
“Meanwhile, this is not about the breakdown of diplomatic relations, but they return to a zero point, no relations, no other communication. Any communication at any level with Serbia will be to free of the three police officers, until they are released. If they are not released, this remains the only relationship. The trucks will not be stopped,” said Rama.
