EU Spokesman for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Peter Stano, in a press conference spoke about the establishment of reciprocity for license plates of cars coming from Serbia to Kosovo.
He said tensions should be stopped by both sides and that dialogue should be used to resolve such disputes.

“We are closely monitoring the situation and I want to emphasize that freedom of movement is a basic condition of the EU and we expect this from Kosovo and Serbia to promote it. We urge both parties to refrain and reduce tensions. Immediately and without any delay”, Stano declared.

Stano said that Kosovo and Serbia should use dialogue as the only platform to resolve all open issues that these two countries may have, including freedom of movement.
