Ali Podrimja was born on August 28, 1942, in Gjakovë, Kosovo. He became one of the most important Albanian poets. His poetry shows deep emotion and strong reflection.

He published his first poem in 1957 in Jeta e Re magazine. Over the years, he wrote more than ten books of poetry. His work reflects the struggles and hopes of his people.

In 1982, he published Lum Lumi, a moving tribute to his late son. This work changed Albanian poetry with its free verse and rich symbolism.

Podrimja’s style broke traditional rules. He used simple language but powerful images. His poetry reached readers worldwide and inspired many young poets. He died on July 21, 2012, in France under unclear circumstances. His legacy lives on as a symbol of courage and artistic freedom.
