Requiem’ by Verdi, for the first time in ‘Opera’! Italian theater artists join the Kosovo Orchestra and Philharmonic

It is compared to Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel, and there is not only music in it, Giuseppe Verdi’s “Messa da Requiem” is brought for the first time in the Opera House. A spiritual requiem that brings the trials of Verdi’s life, and the deaths that gripped his family, but also the dominant secular position in Europe in the 800s.
Music that captures doubts, terror, the composer’s efforts to understand the mystery of death, reasoned around faith, without losing romanticism, is brought by four soloists, the RTSH and Opera House orchestras, as well as the double choir, from “Opera” and the Kosovo Philharmonic.
While the conductor of the orchestra tells what motivates him to return to the Albanian “Opera”, now to stage this work of the well-known Italian composer.
“I travel often, I work all over the world, but this theater, this opera, this orchestra have something very special for me and it’s something difficult to describe, because in our work what really matters is the emotion we feel ”, says conductor Jacopo Sipari.
