RTSH 2026 Objectives Include Albanian Series, Digital Archive, and Expanded DVP T2 Network

TIRANA, November 17 – RTSH Director General Eni Vasili outlined the broadcaster’s main objectives for 2026 before the Parliamentary Commission on Public Media. She highlighted three priorities: producing Albanian-origin series, expanding the DVP T2 digital network with 20 new stations, and fully digitizing the audiovisual archive.
Vasili emphasized that completing the digital archive is essential. The process includes conserving physical materials, digitizing audio and video, and restoring image and sound quality. She noted this is a long-term project necessary for modernizing content and technology.
The DVP T2 expansion aims to achieve near-total national coverage and improve broadcast quality. Vasili stressed that technological upgrades, including modern transmission systems, are crucial to maintaining high service standards.
She also underlined the importance of Albanian-origin series and major national and international events. These productions ensure RTSH continues to deliver diverse, culturally relevant content.
Vasili concluded that achieving these objectives requires adequate state funding to secure digital transformation, national coverage, and high-quality programming.
