RTSH officially launches institutional reform under the leadership of the European Broadcasting Union

Albanian Public Broadcaster RTSH has officially launched its institutional reform, led by the European Broadcasting Union.
On March 5, EBU Director General Noel Curran visited Albanian Radio Television, marking an important step in the formal start of the reform process. RTSH Director General Eni Vasili welcomed him. During the visit, Curran also held a key meeting with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister received a 60-page report prepared by EBU experts specifically for RTSH. The document outlines the main findings and proposes a concrete action plan for the broadcaster. After reviewing the report, Rama expressed his support for launching the institutional reform and for transforming RTSH into a modern, sustainable public broadcaster that serves the public interest.
Moreover, the visit sends a clear message of EBU’s support for the reform process. It follows the Transformational Services mission held on 18–20 November 2025, when EBU experts worked closely with RTSH staff for three days to prepare a comprehensive diagnostic report on the institution.
As a result, the strengthened cooperation with the EBU marks the beginning of a new reform phase for RTSH. The goal is clear: to reinforce its role as a credible, independent public broadcaster dedicated to citizens.
