Scholz kicks off a two-day visit to Southeast Europe; Rama joins the summit in Greece

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz kicks off a two-day visit to Southeast Europe from Kosovo, Serbia, North Macedonia, Bulgaria and Greece, focusing on bringing the Western Balkan countries closer to the EU.
The Summit of the Heads of State of the South East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) will take place in Greece, with the participation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The head of government will arrive in Greece this afternoon where he is expected to meet with Scholz.
At this Summit, he will join the leaders of 13 countries to discuss deepening cooperation with countries in the region and international partners to ensure peace, security, stability, economic, political and social development in the region.
The SEECP Summit will also focus on recent developments in Europe, including the war in Ukraine, as well as their impact on countries in the region.
