After the meeting with the Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti, the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz met with the President of Serbia, Aleksander Vucic.

Vucic said that Belgrade is ready for an agreement with Pristina, but this is not only related to the wishes of Serbia, but also to those of the other party.

Chancellor Scholz reiterated that Serbia and Kosovo need to reach a comprehensive agreement and that unilateral moves are not helpful.

Regarding the war in Ukraine, where Serbia has not joined the sanctions against Russia, Vucic stated that he has got Germany’s message.

Earlier, Scholz met with Albin Kurti where he said that Germany is committed to visa liberalization with Kosovo so that this happens as soon as possible and that its recognition will be part of the agreement it will make with Serbia.
