“Serbian List” MP-s resigned their seats from Kosovo Assembly

The “Serbian List” party has resigned their seats today from the Assembly of Kosovo. According to Kosovo media, the news has been confirmed by the chief of staff of the Speaker of the Parliament, Glauk Konjufca.
On Saturday, November 5, the chairman of the Serbian List, Goran Rakic, declared that the Serbs would resign from the central and local institutions of Kosovo in protest against the license plate agreement.
“We have decided to quit all political institutions, the Assembly, the Government, and from the four municipalities in the north of Kosovo, but also to leave the Serbs from the judiciary, the police and the administrative staff in the four municipalities in the north”, said the president of Serbian list, Goran Rakic.

Dissatisfied with the Kurti government’s decision on reciprocity with Serbia, the MP-s of the Serbian List who resigned their seats are: Slavko Simic, Adem Hodza, Igor Simic, Miljana Nikolic, Zoran Mojsilovic, Verica Ceranic, Branislav Nikolic , Milos Perovic, Ljubinko Karadzic, Jasmina Dedic and Dragana Antonijevic.

Yesterday, there was a massive resignation from the mayors of the Serbian-majority communes in the north of Kosovo who, after submitting their resignations, held a protest at 12:00, which brought the reaction of a large number of Albanians who filled the streets with red and black flags.

Likewise, apart from the Serbian List, Serbs who worked as police officers in the Regional Directorate of the Kosovo Police in North Mitrovica, as well as at the border points, have left their duties.
