Albanian soprano Ana Naqe has built her career over many years in Belgium. She performs across Europe and other countries worldwide. Ana appeared on the podcast “Flasim” with Prime Minister Edi Rama. Natasha Shuteriqi Poroçani, a linguist and lecturer, also joined the episode.

Rama noted that Ana comes from a simple family in Fier with no previous professional singers. Ana began violin lessons at age five at Jakov Xoxe School. At 13, visiting priests offered scholarships for talented students. Ana joined the choir because of her passion for music. Later, she traveled abroad for masterclasses in violin and eventually discovered her voice in singing.

She studied at the Royal Conservatory of Leuven (Luça Lemmensinstituut) in Belgium, earning Master degrees in violin and singing. Ana also completed further studies in Amsterdam and at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Granada in Spain.

Ana balances study, work, and performance. She said she still returns to Albania monthly and gives concerts at TKOB. Prime Minister Rama suggested she perform in Fier, her hometown, which Ana considers for the future.

Currently, Ana just returned from a recital tour in Turkey. Next, she will perform in Barcelona, Spain, at the Maria Magdalena, Teatro Nacional Catalan in January-February 2026.
