Spajiç: Significant meeting for Western Balkan Investors

At the meeting of regional leaders dedicated to the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans, approved by the European Commission, Prime Minister Milojko Spajiç of Montenegro stated that this conference presents a significant opportunity for investors in the Western Balkans.
“It is a crucial meeting, not only for the countries of the Western Balkans but also for investors interested in these countries,” declared Spajiç.
With the aim of charting the path towards the establishment of a common regional market as a prerequisite for EU accession, the leaders of the six Western Balkan countries have commenced a joint regional conference on the growth plan for the region.
The European Commission funds amount 6 billion euros, allocated in the form of grants and soft loans for capital investments aligned with EU standards.
However, the prerequisite for accessing these funds is the implementation of necessary reforms, with a primary focus on establishing a common regional market. Additionally, addressing reforms, especially in the field of the rule of law, is emphasized as a means to attract investors.
