Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance, Jens Stoltenberg, has stated that NATO strongly condemns the unprovoked attacks against KFOR troops in the north of Kosova. He emphasized that the Alliance will take all the necessary actions to create a safe environment. Stoltenberg made these comments during the meeting with Turkish President Erdogan, where he emphasized that NATO will do everything to make the citizens of Kosova feel safe and secure.

Stoltenberg “strongly condemned the unprovoked attacks” against KFOR troops and assured that “KFOR and NATO will take all necessary actions to create a safe environment for all citizens in Kosovo”.

Stoltenberg called on Prishtina and Belgrade to de-escalate the tense situation, show restraint from irresponsible behavior and engage in dialogue mediated by the EU, which according to him, “is the only way to peace”.
