Stoltenberg talks with Vucic: We intervene if stability is jeopardized

The Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, has held a telephone conversation with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, regarding the tension in the north of Kosovo, after the latter’s decision to apply the agreement on free movement. Through a publication on Twitter, the head of NATO states that this body is ready to intervene in the event stability undermining.

“I talked with the president of Serbia about the tensions in the north of Kosovo. Both parties should engage in constructive dialogue mediated by the EU and resolve disputes through diplomacy. NATO-KFOR are ready to intervene if stability is threatened, based on the mandate of the United Nations”, writes Stoltenberg.
