Swedish Culture Week/”Can you hear me?” exhibition opened in FAB Gallery and ABBA songs performed at Italia Square

“Can you hear me?” is the Swedish artists’ exhibition opened in FAB Gallerys, as part of the Swedish Culture Week, curated by Mats Jansson of Nääs Konsthantverk. This is an exhibition on freedom of expression through art.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by the ambassador of Sweden in Tirana, Elsa Hastad, the Minister of Culture, Elva Margariti, Albanian and Swedish artists, as well as art lovers.

This exhibition is an appeal of artists, journalist and writers to be heard, when voicing their concern about freedom, democracy, people’s rights. They are the people fighting for a better world. The exhibition will be open to the public until October 5.

Another activity was held yesterday evening at Italia Square. It was a concert of the Swedish band “Vision” performing fantastic hits of the Swedish supergroup ABBA, who recorded their first songs 50 years ago and nowadays their songs are broadcast and heard everywhere in the world. Even in the Albanian capital there was a tribute concert for the fantastic hits of this group that still unites people through music. The atmosphere was magic with people dancing and singing along with performers. The surprise of this event was the greeting for the Albanian public, a  directly from Sweden by Björn Ulvaeus, a member of the ABBA band.

The concert on September 15 in “Italia” Square is just one of the events of the week of Swedish culture in Albania, it will be followed today with the inagural ceremony of Swedish Film Nights.” One man can make the change” with the participation of the producer Piodor Gustavsson and the director Amanda Pesican  at Millenium Cinema. Tirana, Shkodra and Gjirokastra are the places where Swedish culture will travel during this week.
