The advisor of the US Department of State, Derek Chollet, announced that he had a conversation with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, asking him to return to the path of normalization and encourage calm among the Serbs of Kosova.

In recent days, the US and the EU have increased pressure on both sides to calm the situation in the north of the country and to return to the implementation of the Brussels Agreement and the Ohrid annex.

Meanwhile, earlier, the European Union called on Kosova and Serbia to take measures to reduce tensions and work to establish calm in the three troubled municipalities, warning that failure to do so will have negative consequences for both parties.

The European Union demands that Kosova and Serbia “act responsibly and engage immediately in the dialogue mediated by the EU to find a sustainable solution to the situation, which guarantees security and democracy for all citizens and paves the way for the implementation of the Agreement on the road to normalization.
