The agreement with Serbia, Kurti: I was warned by the American ambassador that the situation could seriously deteriorate

Kosova Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, has stated that he agreed to reach an agreement with Serbia on the issue of license plates, after he was warned by the American ambassador in Kosova that the situation in the north of the country could seriously deteriorate.
The statement was made public, through a post on Twitter, by the German journalist “Michael Matens”, who conducted an interview with Kurti.
“Kurti said he agreed to a compromise in the ‘license plate crisis’ after he was warned by the American ambassador in Prishtina that the situation in the north of Kosova could deteriorate severely and irreversibly”, writes the German journalist.
On Wednesday evening (November 23), Kosovo and Serbia reached an agreement on the license plate issue. The signed agreement, with the mediation of the European Union, contains the ban on issuing license plates from Serbia with the names of the cities of Kosova, while the latter will stop the ban on Serbian vehicles at the border for their re-registration. This agreement has been welcomed by the spokesperson of the US Department of State, Ned Price.
