The Berlin Process informal meeting, Rama meets regional leaders and the EU commissioner

Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama’s informal meeting with the heads of the countries of the Western Balkans has started. The meeting is taking place in Villa 30 in the capital and is held within the frame of the Berlin Process Summit that will take place in Albania on October 16.
As announced, the EU Commissioner Oliver Varheli, the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazovic, the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Dimitar Kovacevski, the Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, and the President of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia Herzegovina will be present at the meeting.
Prime Minister of Kosova, Albin Kurti, is absent from the meeting, who is on another activity in Greece. The spokesperson of the Government of Kosova, Përparim Kryeziu informed that Kurti has informed Rama that he will not be present, while he emphasized that the Prime Minister of Kosova will participate in the Berlin Process Summit.
The Berlin Process initiative aims to increase regional cooperation in the Western Balkans. This is a 2014 initiative to support the integration into the European Union of the countries of the Western Balkans: Albania, Bosnia Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosova, North Macedonia, Serbia.
Introduced on August 28, 2014 by former Chancellor Angela Merkel, the Berlin Process is being developed with the support of the European Commission.
