The ‘Digital Nomad’ festival in Tirana: Albania and the entire Balkans are experiencing technological momentum

Tirana has launched the “Digital Nomad” festival, which for three consecutive days will return to the meeting point of digital experts from different countries of the world, to share their experiences with young professionals, entrepreneurs and innovators, who are currently exploring the world of technology and remote work. On all three days of this festival, which is taking place in the Tumo Center, various panels have been organized with international speakers, who have joined the first edition of the Tirana Digital Nomad Festival, whose presence has been made possible from the support of GIZ Albania and the Municipality of Tirana, as organizers of an innovation festival of its kind. The manager of TUMO, Shqipe Berisha, says that every week 1500 students learn in this center.
“It’s been 2 years since we opened and about 1,500 students come every week to Tumo to learn digital skills, such as graphic design, robotics, etc. We can’t wait to move to Pyramid, because here we are at the limits of the maximum capacity and at Pyramid we will double,” she said. Even Dean Kuchel, a Digital Nomad, says that Albania and the entire Balkans have become a destination for digital nomads.
