The envoy of the German Bundestag for the Western Balkans, Adis Ahmetovic, said that Kosovo deserves visa liberalization.

“I am one of the German members who support Kosovo, it is the European country that I have supported the most. There is great support for the EU and NATO. Over 90% of society in Kosovo loves the EU and NATO. They deserve visa liberalisation. They deserve to be members of the Council of Europe. It has our full support for the European integration process and membership in the Council of Europe.

I don’t know what the problem is with our EU neighbors. I know what Paris thinks, but there have been very intense discussions with my colleagues about this as well. At this moment, the European family is not convinced, but Germany is. We have said it clearly. Kosovo deserves visa liberalization because every country has the right to get visas, work and travel in every EU country. We will support Kosovo in its process in the Council of Europe, to obtain the status of a candidate country as well as for the liberalization of visas”, he said.
