After Tirana, the first Albanian feature film “Tana”, made in 1958 and directed by Kristaq Dhamos, was shown this Tuesday restored at the LUMIЀRE International Film Festival, in Lyon, France. The Film Archive and Albania participate for the first time in the “Treasures and Curiosities” program.
In a status on social networks, AQSHF (Central Archive of Film) informs that the screening of the film was presented by the director of the Festival’s programming, Maelle Arnaud, thus keeping the promise to the director of the Film Archive, Marinela Ndria. While Ndria in her speech brought to attention that the film “Tana” was made by one of the first Albanian directors, who passed away on August 14. She also expressed gratitude for the opportunity to present the film and its restoration process.

The film will also be screened on October 21 at Lumiere Terreaux. The delegation from AQSHF will participate in the MIFC International Classic Film Market, where they will present Albanian cinematography at festivals or other distributors interested in showing it.
