Albania and Serbia have pre-signed a framework agreement in the field of social security.

The Minister of Economy, Culture, and Innovation, Blendi Gonxhja, announced that for the Albanian side, this agreement was pre-signed by the Deputy Minister of Economy, Culture, and Innovation, Olta Manjani, while for the Serbian side, the representative of the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veterans, and Social Affairs, Zoran Milosevic.

“The agreement provides Albanian citizens with a number of benefits, such as old-age pension, maternity benefits, family pension, disability pension, etc. It also ensures the joining of contribution periods, so that citizens do not lose their working years,” stated Gonxhja in a post on social networks.

The second round of negotiations took place in Tirana near the Social Insurance Institute on March 12-14.
