One of the first Albanian ballet soloists, who has occupied an important place of honor in the artistic life and on the stage of the Opera and Ballet Theatre. A career that he started in 1955 as a dancer and ballet soloist and for 40 years in a row he gave dozens of roles to the Albanian stage.

The main roles that stand out in national ballet are that of Jonuz Bruges in the ballet “Sons of the Fisherman”, of the commissar in the ballet “Fatosi, the Partizan”, the role of Beni in the choreographic rhapsody “The story of a song”, that of Bektash Aga in the ballet “Halili and Hajria”, of Don Mark in the ballet “Cuca e Maleve”. He has performer dozens of roles in foreign ballets staged by the Opera and Ballet Theater as in the ballet “Francesca da Rimini”, the ballet “Lola”, “Fadeda”, “Shurale”, “Laurencia”, “Don Quixote: etc. .

Albert Janku has also participated in a series of concert performed at the Opera House and outside the borders of the country with the ballet troupe and the Ensemble of Folk Songs and Dances, where his talent has stood out, apraised by critics and the public.

He has been honored with the title “Merited Artist”. His contribution was also in the field of pedagogy, as a co-rehearsal, consultant in many ballets, author of many articles on ballet, portraits of artists and monographs.
