The premiere of the first Albanian feature film “Tana”, now restored, has appeared in the central state archive. Shot in 1957 and directed by Kristaq Dhamo, the main role, that of Tana, is played by Tinka Kurti.

“Our basic work as an archive is to preserve the cultural heritage and after 64 years the film takes its best possible form, which is the restoration”, said Marinela Ndria, Director of Central State Film Archive.

Tana’s image in the film can now be seen from the front of the archive. The restoration process was made possible by the cooperation between Central State Film Archive, Cinegrell Switzerland and PostFactory Germany.
