Kosovan Prime Minister, Albin Kurti has said that the Kosovo Police has confiscated a document confirming that the September 24 terrorist attack in Banjska was part of a larger plan to annex the north of Kosova through a coordinated attack from 37 points.

Kurti writes that this plan would have been implemented through the creation of a corridor to Serbia, which would enable the supply of weaponry and troops.

“Based on confiscated documentation, Kosova Police confirms that the terrorist attack was part of a larger plan to annex northern Kosova through a coordinated attack on 37 distinct points. The creation of a corridor to Serbia would follow, to enable the supply of weapons and troops,” Kurti was quoted.

On Sunday morning (September 24), masked and armed persons opened fire and threw hand grenades at the entrance to the village of Banjska, Zveçan, an attack which caused the life of police officer  Afrim Bunjaku, while another officer was wounded.

Right after the attack, the Kosova Police carried out an action to neutralize Serbian criminal groups, announcing to have eliminated three attackers, while also seizing a huge amount of weaponry, ammunition and radio communications.

The event brought the reaction not only of officials from Kosova , but also of the international community who condemned the attack and called for finding a way for de-escalation and dialogue between the two countries.
