‘They enter without knocking’, Albanian tragicomedy staged in the most famous theater in Croatia

One of the best Albanian tragedy comedies, “They entered without knocking”, has been staged in one of the largest theaters in Croatia.

The work of the absurd genre written by Armand Bora and directed by Leonard Hamitaj has appeared for the first time in Croatia, bringing to the public the combination of elements of absurdity, comedy with tragedy, sarcasm and irony.

The tragicomedy has been interpreted by the director himself who has the protagonist role and the Croatian actress Ana-Marija Burušić. This tragicomedy brings to attention the difficult marital relations during the totalitarian regime in Albania.

A couple during communism is expected to be interned and they experience difficulties in relationships despite their great love for each other. The absurdity of their relationship is reflected precisely in the fact that the couple keeps trying all the time to find the cause of this troubled relationship.
