“Three Musketeers”, open exhibition in the Art Gallery of Berat exhibiting 50 works in painting and sculpture

“The Three Musketeers” is an exhibition of 50 works of art in paintings and sculptures brought by three Berati artists to the city’s “Eduart Lear” Art Gallery.
Friends from childhood, Kastriot Dervishi, the sculptor Nezir Ago and the painter Agron Polovina joined in a joint project, neatly bringing the beauty of Berat and the figure of the woman in a special artistic dimension.

“We grew up together. We have been together with Agron and Nezir for 45 years since high school. I have been living in Canada for 11 years, we have been working together for 45 years. There I exhibit proudly my city through my paintings. I have 28 works since 2020-2022, all the paintings are in oil and almost the female figure is in the center of them”, said painter Kastriot Dervishi.

“It has been 10 years since I came to Berat and I came here as soon as I heard that there is an exhibition,” says an art-loving citizen who came from Germany.

For the sculptor Nezir Ago, the center of inspiration in his artistic creativity is the very history of Berat and its continuity over the centuries.

“I have brought 11 works but in the essence of all my works that I have exhibited, the reference base is the city of Berat. I am very lucky to live in this city, as this city has given me all my artistic feeling,” he said.

The painter Agron Polovina brings to the canvas a fragment of landscapes from our Alps, Kosovo, Berat, to the coast of Vlora and Lake Pogradec, full of colors and quite emotional. The “Three Musketeers” exhibition will remain open to the public until August 20, at the ‘Eduart Lear’ Art Gallery in Berat.
