The music album “Tirana 100” realized by the group “Tirana-Tirona AllStars” with the exclusive support of the Municipality of Tirana in the framework of the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of Tirana as Capital is reaping success in the international music arena.

The prestigious British magazine “Songlines”, in the music selection of the year Top of the World has ranked the album with the Century’s best songs of Tirana and Central Albania in “Best of New Productions”.

In its latest issue, “Songlines” has rated the musical production “Tirana 100” with 4 stars, while the song “At Namazgha cyprusses” has been selected as part of the repertoire of “British Airways”.

“Folk Magazine”, another well-known magazine which publishes the most important world music productions, considers the Albanian album as another disco graphic achievement.

“What better opportunity than the capital’s birthday to carry out a recording project that brings back the musical tradition in which the great historical, stylistic and cultural layers are reflected!” – writes “Folk Magazine”.

Meanwhile, the Austrian national radio “ORF”, the prestigious network “BBC” and many other music programs have echoed the project “Tirana 100”, which above all reflects the vision and creativity of the Municipality of Tirana to promote such a souvenir with cultural values ​​in the international arena.

The music album “Tirana 100” by the group “Tirana-Tirona AllStars” proves exactly the values ​​of the heritage and the artistic spirit of the capital and represents the best music of Tirana and Central Albania.

This album was realized by a group of virtuoso instrumentalists and singers, veterans of Tirana music, but also young people following this tradition together with a team of professionals such as Martin Appleby, or Lucy Duran, both connoisseurs of Albanian traditional music.

The ensemble consisting of violin, accordion, two clarinets, two lutes, tambourine, tarabuka instrument, double bass and five singers with deep voices was named “Tirana-Tirona AllStars”.
