The Art Gallery of Tirana opened last night a retrospective exhibition of the painter Klement Zoraqi, describing it as an artistic journey.

The exhibition, which includes 50 works spanning five decades, primarily features landscapes from the artist’s early years at the age of 14 to his more recent creations. Titled “Sky-Earth,” the exhibition will remain open to the public at GAT until February 18.

Zoraqi possesses the remarkable ability to “translate” his vision of the world into the language of figurative art. By painting, he establishes an intimate relationship with nature, through a harmonious blend of feeling and thought, emotion and reason, sky and earth.

The Art Gallery of Tirana invited art lovers to discover this unique retrospective that celebrates both art and nature.

Born on March 9, 1960, into a family environment dedicated to art, culture, and education, Zoraqi displayed his artistic talent early on. By the age of 14, he had focused his passion solely on painting.

He received his initial artistic training in the studio of the renowned landscape painter Aristotel Papa. He later pursued academic studies at the Higher Institute of Arts in Tirana (1980-1984), specializing in monumental painting under the guidance of Professors Niko Progrit and Vilson Kilica.

Throughout his 50-year career, Klement Zoraqi has participated in collective exhibitions in numerous European capitals, as well as in New York, while also working as a professor of painting at the “Jordan Misja” Art High School.
