Tirana will host Tiranathlon 2026 on Sunday, bringing swimming, cycling and running together in a single sporting event.

To support the event, Tirana Municipality has worked with the Municipal Police and State Police to prepare a traffic management plan.

The measures aim to ensure the smooth running of the event and protect participants and citizens throughout the competition.

Accordingly, authorities will restrict vehicle traffic on several roads on Sept. 27, from 08:00 to 13:00, around Helen Park near Farka Lake.

The restrictions will affect the following road sections:

• Dajti Street, from the intersection with Xhelal Molla Street to the intersection with Vrapëve Street, including Dëshmorët e Helikopterëve Street.
• Zhan D’Ark Boulevard and Bajram Curri Boulevard, on the section from Shkozë Bridge to the intersection with Selman Riza and Kastriot Feska streets.
• The main interurban road between TEG and Shkozë Bridge.
• The Greater Ring Road section from the Fresku Roundabout interchange to TEG.

Meanwhile, authorities will divert vehicles on the Greater Ring Road toward the Fresku Roundabout and then onto Xhanfize Keko Street.

Public transport will also follow temporary changes. Authorities will divert bus line No. 10/A, “New Maternity Hospital – Center – Former Aviation Field,” at Bërryl Bridge.

In addition, the police will temporarily suspend bus line No. 10/C, “Shkozë Roundabout – Former Aviation Field.”

However, emergency vehicles and State Police vehicles will continue to move normally along all the affected routes.

Authorities have urged citizens to plan their journeys accordingly and follow traffic instructions during the event.
