TKOB unites two eras in a symphonic dialogue between Mozart and Beethoven

The Symphony Orchestra of the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet performed the concert “Mozart & Beethoven” tonight. The event brought the power of two classical music geniuses to the Albanian public.

The program opened with the bright and elegant works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. It closed with the calm and pastoral harmonies of Ludwig van Beethoven.

Under the baton of maestro Peter Michael Garst, the stage turned into a space where two eras, two styles, and two musical visions met.

His interpretation created a unique balance between Mozart’s delicacy and Beethoven’s lyrical strength. The performance became an unforgettable experience for the audience.

The audience immersed itself in the music. Listeners felt Mozart’s refinement and Beethoven’s quiet harmonies. Each note seemed to speak directly to their hearts. Long applause after every piece showed the shared emotion that filled the hall.

Peter Michael Garst was born in Worms, Germany. He has worked as a choir conductor, stage conductor, and choir director at the Zurich Opera House.

Later, he served as music director for operas, operettas, and musicals at Stadttheater Winterthur in Switzerland.

His career includes concerts in many Swiss cities, including Bern, Solothurn, Aarau, Lucerne, Burgdorf, and Konstanz. He has also conducted symphonic performances and operas in major theatres in Germany, Austria, Italy, and Spain.

His repertoire spans classical music, opera, symphonies, operettas, musicals, and ballet. He has interpreted composers from Lasso, Monteverdi, and Handel to Verdi, Strauss, Mahler, Bartók, and Schönberg.
