TKOB’s 70th anniversary will be celebrated with Symphony no. 9 of Beethoven

November, a month steeped in our national pride, offers yet another reason for celebration.
As TKOB approaches its 70th anniversary, Abigeila Voshtina, the General Director of National Theater of Opera, Ballet and Popular Ensemble (TKOBAP), has announced a special treat for art enthusiasts to commemorate this milestone: Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, considered one of the masterpieces of world music.
On November 27, 1953, the opera ‘Rusalka’ by the Russian composer A. Dargomyzhsky debuted on the Albanian stage for the first time. This pivotal moment served as a cornerstone leading to the establishment of the National Theater of Opera and Ballet, paving the way for the staging of Albanian opera in the near future.
“The director of TKOBAP announced on social media, ‘We eagerly await your presence on November 27 at 19:30 to celebrate our 70th birthday together.’ He also mentioned that entry is free for anyone who feels connected to this institution.”
