TIRANA, January 5 – Albania surpassed its previous record in 2025, hosting more than 12 million foreign visitors.

Tourism, Culture, and Sports Minister Blendi Gonxhja described the figure as confirmation of the country’s consolidation as a year-round tourist destination.

He said Albania maintained steady interest beyond the summer season, offering diverse cultural, natural, culinary, and sports tourism experiences, strengthening its position on the international tourism map.

Albania has developed into a year-round tourism destination, offering attractions of all kinds.

In the south, beaches with clear water and pebbles attracted the highest number of visitors, while in the north many tourists traveled to Theth and Valbona. Cities and historic sites such as Gjirokastër, Berat, Butrint, Kruja, Tirana, and Shkodër remained popular destinations throughout the year for cultural and historical tourism.

Museums and national parks also attracted hundreds of thousands of tourists during 2025.
