Tuppurainen: Finland supports Kosovo for the liberalization of visas

Finland’s Minister for European Affairs and Property Management, Tytti Tuppurainen, in a press conference after the meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi, said that he hopes for the liberalization of visas for Kosovo in the coming months.

Tuppurainen said that Finland supports Kosovo in this matter, which she said is already delayed, Gazeta Express reports.

“And I can say that we support Kosovo for the liberalization of visas. Finland remains hopeful that the EU will finally resolve this lingering issue in the coming months. It is now time and we strongly support Kosovo”, she said.

Tuppurainen said that “it is time to move forward”, and said that she is optimistic, citing the time when there may be positive results.

“I believe that in the following months, maybe this autumn, we will see positive results”, said the Finnish minister.

She also emphasized Finland’s support for Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe.
