U.S. Embassy in Prishtina: Political deadlock costs Kosova, leaders must prioritize progress

The U.S. Embassy in Prishtina said on Thursday that Kosova suffers from a political deadlock and urged leaders to prioritize progress and stability.

An embassy spokesperson told Radio Free Europe that parliamentary parties must work together to form new institutions according to the Constitution and Constitutional Court rulings.

“This ongoing deadlock costs Kosova opportunities. Leaders must put progress and stability first for all citizens,” the spokesperson said.

The statement comes a day after MPs failed again to resolve the deadlock, nearly five months after February elections.
